Alameda County Fair

Grace and I have a tradition of going to the Alameda County Fair every year and even though I am nine months pregnant, this year was no exception! It was a bit tougher for me to get around but we still had a great time. We started our day with a visit to the "small animal" exhibit where Grace got to "oooh" and "ahhh" over guinea pigs, hampsters and rabbits galore! We then went to my favorite exhibit...the pigs. I have always loved visiting my piglet friends year after year but this year the smell made me so nauseous that Grace and I needed to leave fairly quickly ( the joys of pregnancy)! We then headed over to watch the horse races and grab some lunch. Grace loved watching the horse races although she nearly missed it because the horses only circled the track once and they were very quick. We browsed through all the exhibits and ended the day with a huge rootbeer float, rides and games. Grace won two small stuffed animals- which she is very happy about. We look forward to next year when Ava will join us!
