Sherman's mother, Espy, celebrated her birthday on September 17th. She and Al (Sherman's father) spent some time relaxing in Carmel over the weekend so we celebrated her birthday tonight. We drank a little champagne, ate some yummy chocolate cake and opened gifts. Emma, of course, was the center of attention and enjoyed being cuddled by her grandmother!
