Halloween

I tried to go all out this year for Halloween despite my pregnancy lethargy- (have I mentioned how excited I am for March 2011?!) Anyways, our house seems to have a little bit of everything- scarecrows, black cats, spider webs, ghosts, gravestones and pumpkins. I'm always the crazy lady on the block who has her decorations out a month before everyone else! I have this insane fear that some life crisis will arrive and, god forbid, my house will not be decorated for the next holiday (perhaps that was a little too much information about what goes on in my head).
On another note Grace transformed into beautiful Athena this morning. The girl is obsessed with greek mythology- she knows the lineage of every greek god or goddess out there! We straightened her hair, put on some make up (G thought I was putting way too much eye make-up on her - I did go to beauty school, right?!). She wore gold jewelry and a long white Athena style gown compliments of one of the hundreds of Halloween warehouses that spring up around SoCal once September hits.
Grace took part in her school parade, which apparently once you hit 4th grade, is not really that cool. I tried to get a picture of her but she literally ran away from the camera. I guess my days of picture taking are over- at least I have some time left with Emma and baby. We have a busy weekend plans- carnival at G's school, Halloween party Saturday night and of course, trick- or - treating on Sunday. And Grace's soccer team made it to the play offs- semi-finals are this weekend. Go Green Hot Chili Peppers!
