The Beginnings Of A Good Year

School year that is. We are off to a great start! Grace's teacher is awesome and has an amazing fifth grade curriculum planned for her students! Grace will be heading off to "Astrocamp" in mid-September with her school's fifth grade classes & teachers. The camp is in Idyllwild and looks like so much fun! Wish I could head off to camp for three days .... :)

Lily is only getting up twice a night and I've been working on trying to getting her down to waking once. Still no luck. But twice is better than the four to six times it was a couple months ago. Lily is such a precious little baby. She is super smiley and doing so much more these days. Rolling over, eating her toes, and she's so aware of her environment. I can't believe she will be six months old on the 16th of this month. It has gone by so fast!

Miss. Emma has been going through some "changing emotions" lately ... to put it nicely. Sherm and I realized that our 40 pound two year old is running the show and we're sittin' on the sidelines watching. So after a lengthy "adult" discussion, we're in the midst of a little behavioral intervention, naughty chair and all, hoping to gain our parental control back ( or maybe we never had it?!). I can see improvement and we only started a couple days ago.

I think part of the issue is her speech delay. It's so frustrating for her not to be able to communicate verbally. We use some sign but not for every word.

We are off to our weekly play group! Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!
