1. Look for part time help. This is hard and I know it will be for the first year. And I am not ashamed to say that I need help and a lot of it.
2. Buy Lily Mae a cradle swing. I found one at Babies R' Us for 160.00. Yes, a bit pricey but it will save my 19 month old years of therapy as an adult because her mother neglected her toddler years due to a crying newborn. I am purchasing it tomorrow morning.
I witnessed a very sweet moment today. Amongst around the clock diaper changing & feedings & soothing distressed babies a precious moment arrived. And I didn't have my camera but the image will be ingrained in my mind forever. Lily Mae was a bit crusty so I gave her a bath and Emma followed me. I filled the baby tub with water and put it on the floor of the bathroom. I sat Lily Mae in her bath and began washing her. Emma walked over and began helping me wash her. Gently stroking her legs with water and rubbing her then she kissed her forehead. So sweet.
