We had a great Halloween. Grace was a Candy Corn Witch, Gianna a Vampire, Emma a princess and Lily a bumble bee. Emma understood the whole concept this year and was completely excited & obsessed with her candy. Emma slept with her pumpkin bucket, ate with it, carried it everywhere and brought it on errands. The pumpkin bucket full of Halloween treats eventually had to be hid as it was causing a lot of drama (and not just with Emma).
I wrote about the dry Southern California fall last year when I was pregnant with Lily. The dryness was not pregnancy related. It is so dry here! My hands are cracked and bleeding. I look forward to the climate changing in a couple of months. I am not sure why it is so dry here in the fall. Maybe the Santa Ana winds? Lack of precipitation near the coast? I shouldn't complain because the sky is crystal clear and the temperature is a consistent 70 degrees.
Sherman's family is coming down for Thanksgiving in a couple weeks. We will have a full house! The table is set and I am very pleased with how it looks. Very festive.
The kids are doing great. Grace is definitely entering the "tween" stage. I am now totally embarrassing (so are screaming sisters). She is liking "pop" music and shopping at her favorite store Justice. I haven't experienced any "tween" attitude yet ONLY "that's so embarrassing!"
Emma is almost 2 1/2 and her verbal skills are so much better! She is talking up a storm. She is a funny little girl and oh so sweet. She loves Jamba Juice "moomies" (smoothies), reading books with her mama, watering the flowers on our porch and playing with "yi-yi' (Lily). She continues to love her "moo-sak" class and gymnastics class. Lily will be 8 months old on Wednesday! I can't believe it! She is almost crawling. She currently scoots on her stomach to make her way around the room. She is eating solids and "mum mum" crackers. Lily is teething and being a bit of a diva. She has been fussy for weeks now and still no toofies! I'm wondering when they will pop up.
I hear my sweet Lily now, up from her nap, so I am off to get my little munchkin!
